Ps4 preparing to download stuck at 10

Sometimes the issue is with the Your PS4 Software being out of date and as a result nothing will update and work as it should. This is what worked for me. Go to Settings,Account Management,Account Information and you should get a notice about an update being available in cases where your device is running older software.

You should get the same effect if you check for a System update manually and then update. After updating in which your PS4 will reboot at least once and still being on a Cabled Internet connection you should now go back to notifications and notice that your update are now downloading for your games and not stuck.

In some cases the Preparing to Download Error on The PS4 happens because your PS4 software is outdated and as a result nothing will work as they should until you do an update.

In other case the issue can be with the Connection to the Internet as WiFi is less stable in comparison to a Cabled connection. By switching to a cabled connection it should work fine after setting up the connection. I tried downloading the same disc and all that on a different PS4 and worked on that. Just not mine. What's the deal?? I have the same problem, I even returned the first disc and got a second one of the same game, its not the disc its definately Blizzard with a stupid update that ruined the chance for players to download Overwatch.

Facing the same issue; but for my friends download size is just 1. I had the same issue with a 15 gb update instead of a 1. It still said it was 15 gb but when i unpaused and it finished preparing, it changed it to 1 gb.

Hey has anyone figured out how to fix this? Try manual update. Hover over the Overwatch game press the options button on your controller.
